Usman Najeeb picked up a cricket bat at age 10 on the dusty pitches behind his school. Inspired by cricketing legends from the subcontinent, he honed his skills quietly, playing tape-ball tournaments and semi-pro club games. His big break came when he was selected for the national training squad after an outstanding performance in the Gulf T20 League.
Representing Saudi Arabia became a proud milestone, but his dream is bigger—to lead the national team to a World Cup stage and inspire a new generation of cricketers from the Kingdom. Cricket may not be the dominant sport in Saudi Arabia, but for Usman, it’s a calling.
